A few pics from the RR championships and my trackside camping. I broke with my usual practice of riding to SA and drove this time. (Thus permitting some luxuries such as a fridge, stove, standup tent, stretcher etc, which enabled self catering instead of buying food at the circuit.
Like many others I had incorrectly assumed that the event was running from Friday (qualifying) to Sunday (racing) as usual. However, due to the fall of Christmas Day on Thursday the event changed with Saturday being a track day and then qualifying on Sunday morning, and the racing on Sunday afternoon and Monday. Consequently, there was a huge infux of competitors to the trackside camping area late on Saturday. The temp for Monday was forecast to be 38C, so I actually left late on Sunday for my 4.5 hour drive home.

Hi Jules,
Sensible choice of transport given your weather conditions – nice to have a bit of comfort. Some nice hardware in the photos, especially the CB 750.
Every good wish for 2026 – may it be a spectacularly good one!
Thanks for your comment Geoff. I rarely blog these days, however, I plan to work on it a little more in the future.
Best wishes to you and Jenni for a wonderful 2026.
